NATIONAL DEWORMING DAY -SNA REPORT
NATIONAL DEWORMING DAY: 10th FEBRUARY 2022
National deworming day was organized by Student Nurses Association of Dr.Jeyasekharan College and School of Nursing on 11th February at SLB Government Higher Secondary School, Nagercoil and SMRV Government Higher Secondary School, Vadasery.
Totally 15 students from III year BSc (N) participated in this programme. Mrs.Vimal mathy and Mrs.Priya accompanied the students.
Ms.Edith Samlin III Year B.Sc nursing student had given introduction about the importance of deworming. Fifteen III year B.Sc Nursing students narrated about worm infestation, its causes, signs and symptoms, types of worms, treatment, complication & preventive measures through role play.
Mr.Vijin Bruse had given a short informatory note on importance of consuming deworming tablets given by Government.
25 students from SLB Government Higher Secondary School and 50 students from SMRV Government Higher Secondary School attended. Participants from both schools had given feedback that the program was informative and they gained knowledge regarding worm infestation, its treatment & preventive measures.
Vote of thanks was given by the respective principal of the school.
