National Voluntary Blood Donation Day Report 2025
The National Voluntary Blood Donation Day 2025 was conducted at Dr. Jeyasekharan Medical Trust Auditorium on 6th October 2025 with great enthusiasm and awareness spirit. The program began at 12.00 p.m. with a Prayer Song presented by the 1st year B.Sc. Nursing students, setting a solemn and inspiring tone for the event. Followed this, Mrs.Majini Johnson ( Head of the Department, Blood Bank) delivered the Welcome Address, warmly greeted the dignitaries, staff, students, and guests, and highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation as an act of compassion and social responsibility.At 12.10 p.m., Dr.Ranjith Jeyasekharan (Trustee, Dr. Jeyasekharan Medical Trust offered felicitations, appreciating the continued efforts of the institution in promoting health awareness and community service.The most awaited part of the program, the Unveiling of the Theme for National Voluntary Blood Donation Day 2025, was carried out by Dr. Jitesh P.K., MD (Pathology).
In his address, he emphasized the lifesaving value of voluntary blood donation and encouraged everyone to become regular donors to support patients in need.A Special Note followed at 12.35 p.m., where Voluntary Blood Donors shared their personal experiences and motivations behind donating blood. Their heartfelt testimonies inspired the audience to take part in this noble cause.The program concluded at 1.00 p.m. with the National Anthem, sung by the 1st year B.Sc. Nursing students, filling the hall with a sense of pride and patriotism.
The celebration effectively spread the message of humanity, solidarity, and the importance of voluntary blood donation, motivating everyone present to contribute towards saving lives.
