The Paediatric department of this institution has 3 full-time paediatricians, apart from 2 part-time consultants. Paediatric Speciality Clinics include Neonatology, Paediatric Surgery, Paediatric Neurology and Paediatric Pulmonology which are looked after by concerned super specialtists.

The Inpatient facilities include Paediatric ICU,NICU (Neonatal ICU) and all paediatric surgical emergencies.
The department is run by senior paediatricians and paediatric surgeons.
All high-risk deliveries are being taken care of with a dedicated neonatology team. The department is well-equipped with all modern equipment and trained staff.
There are around 100-150 deliveries that are carried out here per month and the NICU staffs are well trained for Level II care. The department is well equipped with Warmers, Phototherapy units, Infusion pumps, Ventilators etc. Exchange transfusions, Partial parental nutrition and newborn surgeries are done here.
The department caters as a referral unit to many hospitals for Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli district.
The department functions as a very good academic unit, presenting and publishing articles and presenting novel research papers in various national and international conferences.
It’s a training unit for many budding paediatrics and junior doctors.
