EVENT :INTERNATIONAL DAY OF ELDERS

The International day of elders was celebrated on 1st October 2025 at St.Joseph old age home Pilankalai. The Programme aimed to honour the elderly ,recognize their valuable contributions to society and promote awareness about their physical and emotional wellbeing. The program commenced with a prayer song by the Bsc(N) VI Semester students. Sis.RitaFranchis (Rtd.Headmaster) was taking care of elders in old age home. She highlighted the importance of respecting and caring of senior citizen. Bsc(N) VI Semester and GNM 2ND Year students organized variety of programs such as songs, dance and games and interaction session to engage the elderly and make them feel valued and loved. The elderly participants expressed immense happiness and gratitude for the event. It strengthened the bond between younger and older generation and reminded everyone the importance of caring and respecting the elderly in society. The program was ended with the prayer, blessing and birthday wishes to our correspondent Mrs.Beena Sabu from the elders and sisters. They expressed immense happiness and gratitude for the celebration.
