“Indian Organ Donation Day” was celebrated at Dr.Jeyasekharan Hospital & Nursing Home, OPD section on 03.08.2024 to create awareness about Organ donation. The Program organized by Dr.Jeyasekharan Hospital and Nursing Home in collaboration with the College of Allied Health Sciences.
The awareness programme started at 10.30 am with the introductory speech by Dr. Ranjit Jeyasekharan, Trustee, MD (General Medicine). He explained about the Organ donation and its importance. His motivational speech was very informative to the OPD patients and their relatives.
This was followed by a health Talk on “Organ Transplantation & Organ Donation” presented by the B.Sc. Dialysis Technology II year students, Mr. Anish and Ms. Asha.
In order to create awareness among College students, a poster making competition with the theme “Organ Donation… Hope of Life” and Rangoli competition with the theme “Life can Begin after Death” were conducted on 03.08.2024 for the students of Dr. Jeyasekharan Medical Trust, College of Nursing & Allied Health Sciences.
The competitions were conducted with the guidance of Dr. Ninoo George, MD, DM (Nephrology), Consultant Nephrologist. Certificates & Cash prizes for Prize winners and Certificate of Participation to all the students who have actively participated in the competitions are given. Trustees, Administrators, Doctors, HOD of the Departments, Hospital Staff and students of Dr.Jeyasekharan Medical Trust enthusiastically participated in the Indian organ donation day celebration.
