Theme : “AGEING WITH DIGNITY : THE IMPORTANCE OF STRENGTHENING CARE AND SUPPORT SYSTEMS FOR OLDER PERSONS WORLDWIDE”

International day of older persons was celebrated on 1.10.2024 with the theme “AGEING WITH DIGNITY : THE IMPORTANCE OF STRENGTHENING CARE AND SUPPORT SYSTEMS FOR OLDER PERSONS WORLD WIDE “The Old age home visit was organised by Dr.Jeyasekharan College of Nursing, Bsc Nursing III Year students in St.Joseph Old age home Pilankalai. In old age home total strength of the elders are about 80 members, in that 40 members are female and 40 members are male .Ms.Kesheya Bsc(N)III year student had done the Master of ceremony programme was started with prayer song and Bible reading and students conducted various activity such as Games, singing, dancing, and roleplay. Elders also participated in singing, dancing, games and storytelling. At 11.30 am the programme was ended with vote of thanks.
