Report of the Drug free Tamil Nadu awareness campaign 2024

Drug free Tamil Nadu awareness campaign was remembered on 11th August every year BY Govt of TamilNadu. Today on 12th August an awareness program was conducted at the Auditorium of Dr Jeyasekharan College of Nursing. The program was conducted to provide awareness among students regarding ill effects of drug addiction through activities such as skit by students, anti-drug day speech and pledge taking.

The event started at around 2 pm with welcome address by Ms.Aswin Vinitha, IV year B.Sc Nursing student. The B.Sc Nursing and Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery students participated in the event. Drug awareness day Speech was delivered by Ms.Daffney, IV year B.Sc Nursing student. Role play was enacted by II year DGNM students on drug awareness. The students participated with enthusiasm and motivated the group.

As per the instructions from the Narco Coordination Centre (NCORD) Committee- Enforcement Bureau CID of TamilNadu mass anti-drug pledge on Drug free TamilNadu was delivered. Our students participated in the pledge taking campaign. The students were given a special address on Drug free Tamil Nadu awareness campaign by SNA advisor Dr.Mrs.Golden Catherine. T
