World Health Day 2026, observed on 7 April, calls on people everywhere to stand with science. Under the theme “Together for health. Stand with science”. World Health Day aims at raising awareness regarding important health issues, urging people around the globe to lead healthy lifestyles and take positive actions towards improving their health.

We the Dr, Jeyasekharan College of Nursing and Dr.Jeyasekharan Medical Trust celebrated the World health day on 07-04-2026 at DR.JMT Auditorium

As part of World Health Day we conducted competitions for the students of College of Nursing & CAHS. Students participated actively in the competitions such as Cooking without fire and Virtual Poster Presentation competition.

The students creatively prepared and displayed healthy nutritious diet without fire and explained the benefits it gives to our body and mind.And to encourage creativity and awareness about the role of science in shaping a healthier tomorrow students  are encouraged to creatively interpret the theme “together for Health Stand with Science” through virtual poster presentation.

The World Health Day programme was started at 3Pm in Dr. Jeyasekharan Medical trust Auditorium. Dr.Sarayu Priya  Principal College And School of Nursing welcomed the gathering.

Presidential address was givenby Dr.Renu DevaPrasath, Medical Administrator. Followed by Dr.Riaz Ahamed MBBS MBA (HM)F.Diab, District Health system project officer/Task Force Member the Chief Guest gave  the Chief guest address and explained about the significance of world health day . The Chief Guest was honoured by Dr.SarayuPriya Principal   Dr. Jeyasekharan College of Nursing with a momentum .The Winners of the World Health Day competitions were awarded by Prizes and certificates.

The III Year B.Sc Nursing Student Mr. Godwin Kumar S A was honoured and appreciated with Momentum for his outstanding achievements in securing the Gold Medal in the India Skill Competition organized National Skill Development Programme by the Chief guest along with his parents.

Ms. Sulaiha Shifa Tutor of Allied Health science delivered Vote of Thanks.

The Programme was ended with National Anthem.
