The World Hypertension Day was celebrated at Dr. JMT College of Allied Health Sciences aiming to educate people and raise the level of awareness of hypertension prevention.

To create public awareness regarding prevention and control of blood pressure, Blood pressure measurement and Hypertension Survey was conducted for 3 days (11/06/2024, 12/06/2024, 13/06/2024) at Dr. Jeyasekharan Hospital OPD’s and bus stands and shops.

In the view of creating awareness about hypertension and its prevention among the students, the Painting competition with the theme “Measure your blood pressure accurately, control it, live longer” and Mime competition conducted with the theme “Control your blood pressure” and Slogan writing competition conducted with the theme “Prevention of Hypertension on 13/06/2024. Certificates & Prizes were given to the winners and certificate of participation was distributed to all the students who have actively participated in the competitions.
