56TH HOSPITAL DAY CELEBRATION
The 56th Hospital Day was celebrated on Monday the 15th of November. Due to the existing restrictions the celebration was confined to the Hospital campus.
The day started with a prayer meeting in the OPD quadrangle. The hospital choir sang hymn followed by Bible reading & prayer.
The Managing Trustee Dr.Devaprasath Jeyasekharan briefly spoke about the history of the hospital. Sr.Anselina and Sr.Roselet who have been associated with the hospital since inception were specially honored. He also thanked the Staff, Patients and Well-Wishers for all the support.
As a part of new ventures he announced starting of the Department of Physical medicine and Rehabilitation under Dr.Subbian and the Full time Pathologist Dr.Jitesh in the Pathology Department.
Dr.Sabu Jeyasekharan and Dr.Ranjit Jeyasekharan extended their wishes for the day and thanked the gathering.
The Anaesthesia Department acquired two advanced Anaesthesia work stations. These are A5 and A7 Mindray workstations which are capable of doing advanced and complicated Anaesthetic procedures with special emphasis on patient safety. These Machines were inaugurated by Dr.Renu Devaprasath Head of the department of Anaesthesia along with Dr.Gnanamoni and Dr.Rajendran the senior Anaesthesiologists.
The hospital acquired two V.A.C Machines (Vacuum Assisted Closure) which are used for treating diabetic and others chronic ulcers. This is the very useful and needed equipment and was inaugurated by Dr.Bala Vidyasagar our senior surgeon.
The Administrators Dr.Renu Devaprasath, Mrs.Beena Sabu and Mrs.Sujatha Ranjit opened the newly constructed Snacks stores. Sweets were distributed to the Doctors and Staff participated in the events. Lunch was served in the Nursing hostel for all the staff.
