78th Independence Day Celebration 2024
78th Independence Day was celebrated at Dr.Jeyasekharan Medical Trust on 15th August 2024 at 8:30 am. The program started with a prayer song followed by the Tamil thai vazhthu by the Dr.Jeyasekharan Medical Trust choir followed by Bible reading &Prayer by Sis. Shyla das and Sis. Maria Lisha. Ms. Alshamol, Dialysis Technology Tutor welcomed the gathering.
The National Flag was hoisted by The Chief Guest, Brig (Miss) Chandra, Retired Deputy Director General, Military Nursing Services (MNS) Headquarters Eastern Command, Kolkata, followed by National pledge was administered by Lt. Col. Vanammal, Nursing Superintendent. Brig (Miss) Chandra delivered an Independence Day speech, it emphasized the significance of independence and national pride.
Patriotic speech was given by Ms. Hajara Safa from 1st year BSc Cardiac Technology and Ms. Andrea Harshini from 2nd year BSc Cardiac Technology. Followed by Dr. Sabu Jeyasekharan, Trustee expressed his Independence Day greetings to all.
Followed by Prizes were awarded to the students and staffs who won competitions ( For Indian organ awareness day & independence day competitions, world hypertension day competitions ) held on 3rd & 9th August 2024.Prize winners were encouraged with cash prizes and certificates. The programme was ended by a Patriotic dance performance by students of College of Allied Health Sciences.
