The IT Department/Electronic Data Processing unit at Dr. Jeyasekharan Medical Trust was started with the computerization of Registration and Accounts in February 2001. Additional modules are added periodically into the existing Local Area Network. This unit has been instrumental in imparting practical training to staff at the hospital to become computer literate and operate the systems at their terminals. The EDP personnel also maintains the hardware and attend to software issues within the institution.
