WORLD TUBERCULOSIS DAY
World Tuberculosis Day is celebrated on March 21 every year. This international day is to raise awareness of the disease, and call for an end to Tuberculosis -related stigma and discrimination
The theme of World Tuberculosis Day 2023 is “Yes! We can end TB!”
World TB Day is observed annually on 24 March to raise awareness about TB and efforts to end the global epidemic, marking the day in 1882 when the bacterium causing TB was discovered.
On 17 March 2023 Dr Jeyasekharan College of nursing along with TB department Aasaripallam conducted a quiz and Rangoli competition based on the theme. And the competitions are evaluated by the TB department Aasaripallam team.
On 24 March World Tuberculosis Day was celebrated in Primary Health Centre Vadaseri master of ceremony done by Ms Rahina Ruby IV Year BSc Nursing student .Special messages given by Dr Manju and Dr Sarayu Priya. Puppet show organised by I year DGNM students. Vote of thanks given by Ms Asha IV Year BSc Nursing.
