Every year April 25 is celebrated as World Malaria Day, a global health observance started on 2007 to recognize and raise awareness about the preventive measures.

This year’s theme ‘Accelerate the fight against malaria for a more equitable world’ signifies the efforts to end the disease from the root and spread awareness among the people.

World Malaria Day was celebrated in Urban PHC, Vadasery on 22/04/2024 by IV year B.Sc and III year GNM nursing students.

The program was started at 10:00 a.m. with an introductory talk by Ms. Daffney. The students created an awareness among public regarding Malaria through puppet show. They narrated the meaning of malaria, mode of transmission, stages of disease progression and vaccination. Approximately 15 persons were participated. Dr. I. Ajaya Manju, Medical Officer gave a speech on the prevention of malaria and appreciated our college team for arranging awareness program. The program was ended at 10:30 a.m. by vote of thanks by Ms. Priya Dharshini.
