World Health Day is celebrated annually on April 7, in order to raise awareness about global health issues and highlights the importance of wellbeing. WHO has chosen ‘My Health My Right’ as the theme of World Health Day 2024 which focuses on the Fundamental human right, access to quality health care education & information .
We the Dr. Jeyasekharan College of Nursing and Dr. Jeyasekharan Medical Trust celebrated the World health day on 06-04-2024 at DR. JMT Auditorium
The Day was started by voting awareness rally along with JCI KaliyakkaVilai, Y’S Mens’ Marthandam Kings, Rotary club of Mathiramanis of members from Collectorate to Dr.JMT at around 8 am. It was started by the officials from Dr.JMT & Manager Transport Department.. There were 200 members participated in this rally. Students were stand and formed a shape of voting symbol. Voters pledge was taken in Dr. Jeyasekharan Medical trust campus, under the leadership of Dr. Sarayu Priya M, Principal Dr. Jeyasekharan College Of Nursing, Dr.Ranjit Jeyasekharan, the Trustee explained about the importance of voting. Students from College Of Nursing expressed the importance regarding voting .
As part of World Health Day the Traditional food carnival competition was conducted for the students of Dr.Jeyasekharan Medical trust.
The World Health Day meeting was started at around 12 N in Dr. Jeyasekharan Medical trust Auditorium. The Programme was started by prayer song by college Choir. Dr.Golden Catherine –Ass.Professor, CON welcomed the gathering.
Presidential address and Unveiling the theme given by Dr.Ranjit Jeyasekharan, Trustee. Followed by Dr.Suresh Balan,the Chief Guest given the Chief guest address and explained about the significance of world health day . The Chief Guest was honoured by Dr.Ranjit Jeyasekharan with a gift . Dr. Sarayu Priya M , Principal Dr. Jeyasekharan College Of Nursing narrated the world health day pledge .The Winners of the competition were awarded by Prizes and certificates . Mr.Binni Ass. Professor CON , delivered Vote of Thanks. Signature were obtained from the participants in order to follow healthy life style practices.
The Programme was ended at 1:15 pm with National Anthem.
