The School of Nursing was established in 2001 with recognition from the Government of Tamil Nadu. The Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) program prepares students for a rewarding career in healthcare, equipping them with essential nursing skills and knowledge.
The annual intake has been progressively increased, and the course duration is now 3 years. Upon successful completion, students are awarded the Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery.
The course is recognized by the Tamil Nadu Nursing Council and the Indian Nursing Council. After completion, the diploma must be registered in the "A" section with the Tamil Nadu Nurses & Midwives Council to practice as a registered nurse.
To train and create nurses of good calibre at the district level
To teach nursing art and skill effectively
To prepare students with knowledge to care for the sick
To produce compassionate and quality-oriented nurses
To participate as part of the health team in curative, preventive, promotive, and rehabilitative care
To train compassionate, dedicated nurses who serve with empathy and professionalism

Both female and male students are considered for admission
Minimum age: 17 years; Maximum age: 35 years (as of 31st December of the admission year)
12th standard pass with minimum 45% marks in any group from a recognized board
