Awareness Programme on EPFO Scheme to the Future Workforce & UAN Generation

On August 25, 2025, Dr. Jeyasekharan College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences organised an Awareness Program on UAN Generation and the Benefits under the EPFO Scheme Provisions. The session was conducted in collaboration with the EPFO Regional Office in Nagercoil and was attended by students and faculty from various departments.

Programme Initiation

The session was inaugurated by Dr.M. Sarayu Priya, Principal of Dr. Jeyasekharan College of Nursing.

Key Highlights of the Programme

• Importance of Social Security Claims
  Mr. Balaji J, Enforcement Officer, emphasized the importance of Social Security Schemes and explained how EPFO ensures financial security through its various schemes.
• UMANG App and its Features
  Mr. Balaji J also introduced the UMANG App, outlining its key features, benefits, and user applications & Aadhar Face RD app.
• PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (ELI Scheme)
  Mr. Subramani P, Regional PF Commissioner, Nagercoil, detailed the objectives and advantages of the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (ELI Scheme).
• Benefits of EPFO Schemes and Live Demonstration
  Mr. Rajendra Prasad, Accounts Officer, explained the benefits of EPFO schemes and provided a live demonstration on UAN generation for students.
