The coastal beauty of Kanyakumari stood as the perfect backdrop for a gathering that ignited the spirit of radiography and technology like never before. The 6th National Conference of the Society of Radiographers and Radiologic Technologists (SORRT) was more than just an event—it was an emotional celebration of passion, dedication, and the future of radiologic science.
With Dr. Joseph Ranjit Jeyasekharn, MBBS, DMRD, MD, FCCP, FRCP, as the Chief Patron of the 6th National Conference of Society of Radiographers and Radiologic Technologists and Chief Guest, the conference unfolded with a sense of pride and grandeur. His presence was inspiring and humbling, as he shared his wisdom and vision with the attendees.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. A.P. Berry, Dr. Sabu Jeyasekharan, Dr. Renu Deva Prasath, Mrs. Beena Sabu, Mrs. SujathaRanjit, and Prof. S. Behind the scenes, the flawless execution of the event was led by Mr. A.Rengit Singh, the Organising Secretary, and Mr.Y. Kingston, the Treasurer of SORRT. What truly set this conference apart was the gathering of over 800 delegates from across the country. The event was a melting pot of knowledge, experience, and ambition, with esteemed faculty and professors from different states presenting proffered papers, and showcasing cutting-edge advancements in the field. Students, too, had their time to shine, with over 80 e-posters, 22 proffered papers, and 38 students’ oral presentations conducted in two parallel halls that demonstrated the next generation’s innovation and enthusiasm. It was remarkable to witness the range of topics and the depth of research presented, each one a testament to the bright future of radiologic technology.
Among the highlights were the 11 guest lecturers—each one delivering captivating and inspiring presentations. These lectures weren’t just academic; they were emotional, personal, and motivational. It felt as if each speaker poured their heart into their sessions, fostering a deep connection with the audience. The energy in the room was palpable, as professionals and students alike found themselves re-energized by the powerful ideas and experiences being shared.
The overwhelming feedback from the delegates painted a vivid picture of the event’s success.
